On March 20, 2024, a successful workshop with the theme “Go Green” was held with the aim of spreading collective efforts to plant forests for employees of Super Energy Corporation. This was one of the opening activities for the five-year campaign (2023-2027) to plant 1.3 hectares of mangrove forests, a collaboration between the Sống Foundation and Super Energy Vietnam, with the sponsorship of 500,000,000 VND to plant 5,555 trees and organize community education activities under the Green Happiness program in Lac Hoa commune, Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province.

During the workshop, Super Energy integrated content on their sustainable development plan based on three criteria: Environment – Society – Governance, to fulfill commitments to implement socially responsible activities within and outside the company. At the same time, it was also an opportunity for representatives of the Green Happiness program to share knowledge about mangrove forests and their role in the natural ecosystem, to encourage SE-ers to contribute to and protect the green living environment.

Over the next 5 years, both sides are committed to optimizing the United Nations’ sustainable development goals in areas such as climate action by reforesting and restoring forests, reducing poverty, increasing livelihoods for local communities, and providing equal and quality education opportunities.

Not only enhancing employees’ knowledge, Super Energy also continues to create opportunities for them to directly participate in the mangrove planting process, planned for June 2024 in Lac Hoa commune. This is seen as not only one of the internal value-based practices aimed by the company but also a chance to establish deep connections with the local community in Soc Trang, one of the locations of Super Energy’s wind power plants.
